Committees provide guidance, community and fellowship formed around specific church needs. Vestry Liaisons provide communication and consistent contact with church leadership to ensure that ideas and information is carried forth. It is easy to serve on a committee and everyone is welcomed. If you are unsure where you would like to serve, feel free to contact anyone on the vestry or clergy for information or guidance.
FINANCE: Serves as financial advisor to the vestry and provides guidance in terms of budgets and oversight.
FORMATION: Committee for adult and youth formation including education, programs, nursery and Youth Group.
OUTREACH: Church of Our Saviour is committed to serving the community outside of the church. Consequently, the Outreach Community is quite active both in Montpelier and surrounding counties providing support and resources for The Garden of Eatin’, WHEAT, and Helping Hands. Church of Our Saviour also provides wood to families in need through its own Wood program as well as helping local families with home repairs, food and clothing throughout the year.
PARISH LIFE: Church of Our Saviour is a small church where get-togethers, coffees and picnics are most enjoyable. The Parish Committee includes foyer groups, church hospitality, communications, and retreat planning.
PASTORAL CARE: For those that serve on the Pastoral Care Committee, all will agree that nothing quite provides an opportunity to serve like this committee, which includes laity visits, assistance and care to those at home, prayer list and prayer chains
CHURCH BUILDING & GROUNDS: This committee includes new building planning and administration, building and grounds maintenance.
VISION: Where are we going as Church? How do we get there ensuring that we are following God’s plan for us as a church parish? The Vision Committee addresses some of these questions ensuring input and consensus from the church family and diocese as well. Committee addresses growth, newcomers, stewardship and annual giving.
WORSHIP: Each week the church worship depends upon volunteers and congregation participation to carry out worship services. This committee is actively involved in insuring participation and includes church service, volunteers, liturgical and music planning.
